Just out of curiousity, for those of you who live on base, how do you like it? We are living in New Bern right now and since our lease is almost up, we are thinking of moving. We'd get housing in one of these places: Grant's Landing, Nugent Cove, or President's Cove. 

I like the housing here, much nicer than MCAS Beaufort's Laurel Bay. But, as with any military housing, most of my neighbors are absolutely nuts.

Hahaha so true but you are going to get that at any military instillation as its such a diverse group of people.

Living on base is great in my opinion. Its nice to have everything within 5 min, if your neighbors are sane chances are you are going to make some great friends who are often in the same boat as you, and if you get the newer houses you are golden.

I love it and got super lucky because my neighbors are great. 

I really like it. We live in Lawson Village. It's convenient to Hubs' work (4 minute drive), the gym, the commissary, stuff to do, etc.

We like both of sets of our neighbors but haven't really lived here long enough to become "friends".

On the same token, we haven't really lived here all that long. *shrugs*

We do, most definitely, LOVE our house though! 

we live in Nugent Cove and love it--------I guess we got lucky, I really like our neighbors and my boys have tons of other boys to play with, plus they are able to bike/scooter to school 

My husband and I live in Nugent Cove and like it so far. Its convenient for him to get to work and I can get everything done on base that I need except for Navy Fed and my college classes. The people who live around me keep to themselves, its quiet but nice.
