Dear Mrs. I'm my son's best friend, he's the greatest thing since sliced bread,

Have you gotten a clue yet? Maybe if you spent more time being a parent and less time being your kid's best friend/cheerleader, you would have seen this coming...

Sorry, I have no sympathy for you - I cautioned you, but you refused to listen.

Good Luck trying to bail him out of this one.

Oh yeah.. My kids tell me all the time "You are not going to be my best friend no more".. My response "I never was.. so good luck with your threats".
