Hi ladies!

One the week of October 15th we will be holding a few activities at the college. Ont hat Tuesday, the 16th we will be doing a small walk and luncheon at the college. Everyone that would like to join us (big kids little kids) is welcome to. We are asking for everyone to wear a pink shirt (no matter what shade) and come out and join us. We will be giving out pink and white carnations and walking towards the CMAST building at the college and release the at the Bouge sound. It is open to the public, donations are welcome but not necessary to participate on this event. All proceeds of donations will be going the Carolina East Foundation (formerly known as Craven Regional Medical Foundation). More info to come

We will be having some vinyl banners at the college where everyone is welcome to write the name(s)of those who they are celebrating. If anyone has any questions don't hesitate on sending me a message.
If anyone would like to come out and share their story let me know so I can add you to the program!

I think this is great and all but I think everyone is "aware" now.

They need to have a breast examination month instead of awareness.

This is kinda a waste of time now. How about raising money for those who probably need a mamagram or breast examination and can't afford one?

Ok rant over.

All proceeds of donations will be going the Carolina East Foundation (formerly known as Craven Regional Medical Foundation).

We are fundraising for CEF and they do this.

Here is a "schedule" of events for the day:

12:30 pm -12:45 pm-- Mrs. Jill Thompson from Carolina East Foundation will speak briefly about the foundation, early detection and testing.

12:45 pm - 1:00 pm-- Walk (WEAR P!NK) from the Bryant Student Center to behind the CMAST building and release flowers into the Bogue Sound.

1:00 pm - 2:00 pm-- Refreshments and fellowship at the Bryant Student Center

They do what with it? A hospital that gives out free mammograms? That doesn't sound right...

Little Miss Knowitall --- 12 years ago -

Boom,

There is a program for free/low cost mammograms/cancer treatment through local health departments.

Funds ARE limited and I don't know the exact details.

Health department sounds right but a hospital. I know they collect donations and grants for those that cannot afford a hospital bill...not free breast exams. That's my confusion.

BOOM BOOM BOOM:

You can go directly to their site and look around. This is a foundation from the hospital, it is NOT the hospital. Carolina East FOUNDATION

If you go to this link you'll see the funds they give out and for what. I hope this helps you understand where the donations received will go to. If you can, come by and join us, like mentioned above, we will be releasing some flowers on the Bogue Sound and will be gathering after for some food and for fellowship.
