Ladies,

Can anyone recommend a local spa, other then Oasis, for facials?

During the time frame of July 16th - 31st, is there any special events or festivals, etc...going on locally?

My parents are coming to visit and I am trying to fill the time with activities. I have take them to Tyron Palace, been on the ferry to the islands, visited all the local beaches, seen Fort Macon, been shelling/sea glass hunting, painted pottery, made jewelry, and visited DC last summer with them. Sooooo...If anyone has recommendations for other sights/activities I have missed that are close I would greatly appreciate the information.

Also (and this is odd), but does anyone know of a class on cast iron cooking? Specifically for camping?

There is Dun Artie in James city/ New Bern. They are another spa

I know on July 27th there is a Dragon Boat race going on in New Bern, but as far as festivals I believe there aren't any till Sept and later, BUT I could be wrong. 

Whats wrong with oasis? 

Nothing that I know of. They didn't offer the type of facial I was in search of. And...if I'm not mistaken I believe they have closed down.

It can be ran just fine without him. Sales werent at where they shoukd have been for a while. Too bad bc the prices were good for a place like that. 

Hotlocks are run by ICs mostly. So if you have issues you have to take it up with whomever did it not the owners unless they treat ICs like emploees.
