Do they still have their crazy rules where no item can be under $15? I had $200 worth of stuff I was trying to put on layaway last year but most of it ranged between $10 and $13 each so they didn't let me put a layaway in. 

Minimum single item cost is $15 and the total layaway "order" must be at least $50.

There's no charge to open the layaway, but you'll have to put at least 10% down. 

I despise Wal-Mart and their layaway! If you buy things here and there you went need it, and that's helps me spend less!! 

The layaway(in Walmart's eyes) is intended for big ticket and large items.
