I almost always strip referral codes from URLs before I visit a site, unless I -really- want to give that person my business. 

There really isn't a way to make money by sitting at home on your butt. You have to make something to sell or work for a direct sales business and work.

That's actually not true - I'm on my second sit-on-your-butt work-from-home job, both based on writing talent. The first was to literally look at a piece of furniture and describe it. I never had to leave my -bed- for that!

But you DO need some sort of skill, or trade, definitely. Most of these advertisements are scams, pyramid schemes, or, yeah, a ploy to get us to click a link. 

I sit on my butt just not at my house but I made 20 dollars an hour as a face painter but I agree u do need some sort of skill or trade to begin with. 

Question for moderators (and others if you don't go all ape shiz on me)....

Should a moderator remove the "code" so that no one gets taken advantage of? 

It might be a good idea, although people should also be smart enough to read a little bit of the thread before they go clicking like crazy too... 

I for one did not know about the "referral thing" until Deb posted about it, I look at it as a way to scam people.... 

I didn't know about the referral code either, however the main portion of the link looks just like many of the FB pages you can 'like' so I actually thought it was a virus. But, the point is, you read the rest of the thread first, lol.

I posted about it to give people a heads up about clicking on links and possibly giving someone an unintended referral.

I also have a real issue with these types of links - not the referral portion, but rather the anonymized part.

You don't know where you may be clicking and I would hate for someone to get a virus or malware.

The OP could have posted a link to fusioncash.net WITH the referral code, but instead chose to post a link that contained nothing but gibberish.
