Dear CPU,
Pray for me. The depression deepens and I don't want to take my happy pills.

Love,
Mom

If the happy pills help level you out, then you need to take them.

There is nothing wrong with taking them if they help.

Keep in mind, you're at that age where your hormones are going wacko.

It's puberty in reverse and it sucks, but it is what it is and do whatever it takes to lessen the effects.

Love you and know where you're coming from,

Deb

Dear hubby,

What does your hubby consider old?

Noel --- 14 years ago -

I'm sure it's difficult to deal with, but just put yourself in his shoes.

When you feel unattractive and he tells you that you aren't, do you instantly believe him, or do your feelings continue?

Better yet, if you're having a day where you think you're gaining weight, and your curvy friend says, "Well, I'm bigger than you, so what are you trying to say about me?" do you suddenly stop feeling the way you feel? Were you trying to offend her? Does her problem qualify yours?

Or do you feel the way you feel because it's -you,- and because nobody but you has to walk in your shoes, deal with your insecurities or live in your brain?

Let him stress a little longer, and trust that it has nothing to do with you, it isn't about you, it's just something he has to go through.

Anyone wanna come over and set a car on fire??? lol jk no for real.

oohh me me!!

smella1212 --- 14 years ago -

Dear Boys,
Please hurry up and potty train already!! I have done EVERYTHING under the sun to get you two to potty train and you are taking too long!! Google, doctors, friends, child experts, mamas, my mama can not get you two trained. I'm sick of hearing that you will do it when you're ready. When will that be?
Love,
Mommy whos sick of buying diapers and pullups for 3 kids

Little Miss Knowitall --- 14 years ago -

Get them out of the pullups.

They can't feel when they're wet, so they don't know when they need to go.

Buy training underwear and rubber pants. Set the clock and put them on the "pot" every hour. Sooner, rather than later, they'll get the idea.

Don't let them walk around with sippy cups/cups(if you do) and a 1/2 hour after drinking, again on the "pot".

champatlife --- 14 years ago -

^^^

ALSO, I don't know their age, but the first thing I tried after pullups, "you're going to make cinderella sad if you pee pee on her" worked like a charm, then we moved and she regressed, and all I had to say after one accident was, "if you pee or poop your pants again, you will go to time out"

Doesn't always sounds so nice, but if they're at the age of understanding right from wrong and 100% capable. It might work. It wouldn't be my first option, but when I was out of ideas that sure did work.

Little Miss Knowitall --- 14 years ago -

Oh, and I wouldn't be concerned about potty training if they're less than 2 1/2. Before then, some kids, especially boys are just not ready.

2 - 2 1/2 is a good time to START, IF they haven't shown interest before now.

Take them into the bathroom with you. Even though they're boys, they'll start off sitting to pee until they're big enough to pee standing up.

TRUST ME, you do not want them standing up, peeing into a potty chair.

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine --- 14 years ago -

Dear school,

6 1/2 days llleeefffttttt!! Today was the LAST FULL WEDNESDAYYYYY!!!

*celebrates*
Seriously so close to being DVM

smella1212 --- 14 years ago -

They are almost 4 and almost 3. Like I said, been there done that with it all. Tried time out, tried rewards, tried pullups, tried training underwear, tried real underwear, tried telling them they shouldnt pee and poop on their fave character etc etc. they can pee in the potty..and they both stand up..sometimes the choose to sit..i dont care what they do..as long as they do it. but they just wont do it all the time..i remind them constantly to go..sometimes they go..sometimes its a royal fit and by then theyve peed themselves. pooping in the potty...thats another story..i dont know how else to put it or how else to make it more attractive or gross or anything to make them go...ive even gone as far as offering candy for every time they poop in the potty..horrible i know..but im desperate..i cant have my boys go to prek not potty trained..esp my 4 yr old and no poop. they are so incredibly smart..EXCEPT for potty training..this is just pure laziness.

Little Miss Knowitall --- 14 years ago -

They won't take them in Pre K if they're not potty trained.

At least not in town. Don't know what the CDC's policy is on that topic.
