Wow! Thats awful. They didn't even identify themselves. If someone knocked on my door at 0130 I would probably answer the door armed as well. 

I hope his family gets paid! 

There is NO doubt if you knock on our door unexpectedly during hours of darkness, you will be greeted by Charles Daly...
