We were told last week that preliminary reports showed Meg has Type 1 juvenile diabetes, Graves disease with Hashimoto's, and celiac disease.
This week after the final reports, they told us they have ruled out Type 1- turns out she is having hypoglycemic episodes caused by the Graves w hashi. But now they also told me they believe she has a kidney disease. So we are doing 5 days of intake and output, and 5 days of UA's in the morning, along with continued blood sugar monitors. Then at the end of the 5 days she will be referred to a nephrologist if their belief is confirmed.
I'm sorry to hear that MN... poor Meg! How old is she now?
As for the drinking, both. Drink now and when the worse news hits. Because then you'll be toting the weight of this crisis until its resolved and you probably won't drink during that time. Go ahead and do whatever it takes to center yourself.
