iFixNC is looking for someone to sell thier stuff on ebay for commission.

Selling price
-ebay fee
-paypal fee
-shipping cost
X 35 percent
= what they pay you.

Example:
20.00 selling price
-1.00 ebay fee
-4.00 paypal fee
-10.00 to ship
x 35 percent
= $1.75

Work as many hours as you want between 10am and 9pm....

http://www.cherrypointyardsales.com/item.jsp?itemId=34146459&ref=mostRecent

From the ad:
We have a ton of items that need to be put on eBay that need to go. If you know how to use it, then this should be an easy money maker for you.

You will be responsible for listing, packing and shipping the items along with communication, if necessary, with the buyer.

We will be paying 35% commission minus fees and shipping (ex. sale price -ebay fees -paypal fees -shipping x 35%=your pay).

Pay will be on a weekly basis and you can work pretty much any hours you would like from 10am-9pm.

This is a temporary position, but should last roughly 3-6 months. There is a lot of stuff. There is also the opportunity for it to become a permanent position.

If you are interested, please email your eBay user name to verify your experience. If you are interested, please let us know and be available Wednesday, 4/17, between 6-7 pm for an interview.
Price: Commission

Little Miss Knowitall --- 12 years ago -

Ebay isn't what it used to be.

And, my time is worth WAY more than $1.75 on a $20 item. (Which, actually works out to a little less than 9%)

Krystal in NC --- 12 years ago -

wow a whole $1.75? Say it ain't so!

BOOM BOOM BOOM --- 12 years ago -

LMK I thought your used undies would be worth more than $1.75?

Allen --- 12 years ago -

IFIXNC always wants something for nothing.

Thanks Vicky

Allen --- 12 years ago -

We will be paying 35% commission minus fees and shipping

35% minus "anything" is NOT 35 %. Like LMK says it's less than 9%. I HATE THAT PLACE

Allen --- 12 years ago -

I'll pay 33% net(nearly four times their offer), come and get it.

Vicky (Mod) --- 12 years ago -

why are you thanking me allen...??? I missed something....

I know some people are good at this stuff and if they can post 100 items they can make 175 bucks.

I suck at it. It's a job making easy money for someone.... isn't it?

they are offering 35 percent of what they make off selling an item after all the fees and expenses are taken out I guess.

RMof2 (Mod) --- 12 years ago -

Yeah.. $1.75 would be fine if it was just the simple act of posting the ad and then you can post 100 items and make $175 bucks
You will be responsible for listing, packing and shipping the items along with communication, if necessary, with the buyer.

Is worth more than what they are offering.

RMof2 (Mod) --- 12 years ago -

paypal takes $4 for every sale?

Allen --- 12 years ago -

Vicky, I thanked you because I felt you had very good intentions, I'm sure of it. I have dealt with that place-not a fan. You may have never dealt with them. Thanks for the thought.

Vicky, they are not paying to post the item, you have to take full ownership of the process, in other words, you will lose money, if your time has any value at all.

Allen --- 12 years ago -

You will be responsible for listing, packing and shipping the items along with communication, if necessary, with the buyer.

Pure con-artist scenario.

Vicky (Mod) --- 12 years ago -

RM,I don't know about the amount that paypal gets... 2.5 percent of the payment? I used estimates.

I guess they are willing to give you money to sell their items. Not sure how much ebay charges either. It doesn't say what kind of items. It was 35 percent of what is left over after the sale so after fees they make 5.00 and you get almost 2 of it...It doesn't sound like a really good deal.

I started to think why not pay someone minimum wage to post everything, pack and ship. I was kinda wondering who would buy the packing materials. Not sure either if bidders pay for shipping too.

Might not be such a good deal either... was a thought in tough times.

Vicky (Mod) --- 12 years ago -

I guess I agree with you Allen. If you don't know the specifics about an item and the buyer asks questions and you get them wrong who pays for the return of an item?

there is an ebay place by taberna isn't there... has some kind of civil war antique place too or revolutionary war museum something?

RMof2 (Mod) --- 12 years ago -

Yeah.. if you were going to post for that person you would just be better of running a consignment shop and then you wouldn't have to ship anything.. lol.

Vicky (Mod) --- 12 years ago -

or a yard sale!

Allen --- 12 years ago -

Yea, Vicky, that is one thing (specifics). You have to also haul the stuff somewhere to ship it, UPS, or whatever (gas money). You have to list the item. You have to pack the item. You do everything, they make the money. E BAY is a hassle. If you do 100 items for them, you now have 100 hassles.

I don't like dishonesty. They claim it's easy;if so they would be doing it. They claim 0.35(35%) and pay only 0.0875 (8.75%).

Marmalade --- 12 years ago -

This is a BAD deal for the lister. Who pays for the lost listing fees when the item doesn't sell? Listing 100 items and making 175.00 is based on a theory that all items will sell for 20.00 and none will not sell. Won't ever happen.

RMof2 (Mod) --- 12 years ago -

Yeah.. didn't even look at it that way Lorena.. If the item doesn't sell then you just spent the time listing the item and possibly answer questions to possible bidders and then if you don't make the sale you are out commission and therefore just worked for free. Like I said.. I'd rather open up a consignment shop than sell for others on ebay.

Little Miss Knowitall --- 12 years ago -

I know some people are good at this stuff and if they can post 100 items they can make 175 bucks.

Do you have any idea how long it takes to just post 100 items properly? Who is going to answer questions about the item if a potential bidder has any?

Who's ebay & paypal account is going to be used?

Who is going to ship the item? That's more time to take into account.

Allen --- 12 years ago -

Victory! They took it down!

Email:35% minus "anything" is not 35%
Do your math

Reply:Thanks for the math lesson, but we have sound someone for the job.

Thanks,
BXXXX

Listing no longer available.

Little Miss Knowitall --- 12 years ago -

EBay's fees are as follows:

First 50 listings, insertion fee is free. After 50 listings, it costs 30 cents per listing, per category, just to list the item.

Final value fee when the item sells is 10 percent of the total value (item + shipping).

Paypal fees are are 2.9 % plus 30 cents per transaction.

I have the feeling IfixNC has been banned from ebay and are now looking for someone to get roped in.

Sell my {mod edit Jacky} on ebay.

Martha --- 11 years ago -

Yeah, this is old, but I saw the ignorance, so FYI to everyone...

iFixNC DID get someone to do the job.

Allen,

Good job on the trolling. You might want to get your facts straight before opening your mouth. There is a reason you are "unemployed." You're more worried about trolling and talking smack instead of getting off your butt and finding employment.

I know the person who got the job. It is an easy job with very flexible hours. Why didn't they do it themselves? Time.

They make $200-$300/week for a few hours a week, using the iFixNC eBay account, not their personal account.

eBay rating? 5645 with 100% positive feedback. 12 years on eBay.

Shipping is paid by the buyer of the item unless there is free shipping offered. This also creates an incentive for the poster to find the most affordable shipping method.

Listing was removed because the position was filled.

Martha --- 11 years ago -

Vicky, the formula would be valid IF the buyer didn't pay for shipping. Usually, the buyer pays for shipping on items, so that $10 you subtracted isn't valid. If you add that back in, you would get $5.75 for 15 minutes of total time.

BOOM BOOM BOOM --- 11 years ago -

Are you Fin serious? How about you take a hike off a cliff or something! Allen has a degree! Do you!? Highly doubt it. Allen has probably accomplished more than you in the silly amount of time your dumb arse has been on this planet that he has done in 5 years. Take a can of coke and shove it so far up your ignorant arse! Get a life instead of trolling on here.

Like, a degree, or a job.

Martha --- 11 years ago -

I'm not going to toot my own horn, but I'm just stating that if you don't know facts, you should probably keep quiet.

A degree means nothing unless you use the knowledge it taught you. Trolling around isn't doing such.

BOOM BOOM BOOM --- 11 years ago -

So whats the reason he is "unemployed" smarty pants? How much do you make a week working for them on ebay? Probably a hellova lot less than the unemploymennt checks he was getting while he was finishing school! Ha ha!

He trumps you in every which way darling! He has a beautiful wife, a beautiful house, a smart daughter in college who didnt get knocked up before the age of 18, and a handsome son. All of which he has been able to take care of without lame employment sitting on his butt doing nothing, like you.

Martha --- 11 years ago -

No clue. I could care less. I just know trolling around on the internet isn't going to get anyone a job.

It is good to know that my tax dollars are supporting someone going to school whereas I worked a full time job while earning mine.

I personally make a six figure income and sell a little here and there on eBay. You know nothing of me and if you did, your demeanor would more than likely be different.

I can tell you though that I am not a dependapotamus with nothing else better to do than attack others (BOOM BOOM BOOM) on a gossip forum. All I stated was that he might want to check facts before spewing falsities.
